John Wick 2: Sixteen years ago, Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne teamed up for The Matrix, as well as two sequels and now they’ve been reunited for another sequel, John Wick 2. Wrath of the Titans

Section 6: Dan Mazeau, whose credits include Wrath of the Titans (above), has been hired to write a new draft of a screenplay for Section 6, a spy thriller that will be directed by Joe Cornish (Attack the Block). Aaron Berg’s original script was snapped up about two years ago but ran into a bit of legal trouble that has since been settled. Jack O’Connell (Unbroken) was attached to star, though it’s not clear if he is still on board. [THR]

Sully/The Snowman: Clint Eastwood’s real-life drama Sully, starring Tom Hanks as the airline pilot who successfully landed his plane in New York’s Hudson River after it struck a flock of geese, has now set a release date of September 9, 2016. That’s more than a year ahead of another newly-set film, The Snowman, a thriller based on Jo Nesbo’s bestseller and starring Michael Fassbender and Rebecca Ferguson.
